Third annual Tallmadge Circle Festival a hit

By Abigail Kress
Tallmadge’s annual Circle Festival took place on August 9 from 5-11 p.m. The traffic circle was blocked off and filled with participants of all ages. Visitors enjoyed live music, food, drinks, games and fireworks.
Jeff the Plumber, The Doug Kaufman Band, and Time Marching Band filled the area with tunes from the main stage. 18 food vendors participated, including Cousins Maine Lobsters, Ohio Dots Dippin Dots, Wagler Farms, Word of Mouth BBQ, Happy Hour Kettle Corn and Daisy Pops, and more. New this year at the third annual event was a kids’ avenue filled with a blow-up slide, hula hooping, karate, giving kids the opportunity to learn how to break a wooden board, face painting, and a puppet show.

Participants could sip on an ice-cold lemonade while being dazzled by a firework show at the end of the night. Attendees brought chairs to listen to the live music and chatthemselves. The local Cheerleading Team volunteered to do face painting at the festival.
