The following Springfield High School band members participated in the Ohio Music Education Association District 6 Solo and Ensemble held Feb. 22 at Barberton High School:

Superior Rating:
– Lilliana Bittinger: Class A flute solo
– Mason Maskovich: Class B snare solo
– Judah Snyder: Class B snare solo
– Clayton Allshouse: Class A snare solo
– Saxophone quartet: Class A quartet
– Percussion ensemble: Class A ensemble

Excellent Rating
– Maely Jordon: Class B clarinet solo
– Christopher Miller: Class A trombone solo
– Sadot Rosado: Class A bari sax solo
– Willow Hurst: Class C baritone solo
– Trombone trio: Class B trio

Good Rating
– Logan Hunter: Class A alto sax solo

Meanwhile, six RB Chamberlin Middle School band students were selected for the Ohio Music Education Association District 6 Honors Band Festival. The six students are:

– Lucas Goad, eighth grade: trumpet
– Ryan Shuler, eighth grade: alto saxophone
– Ahana Jagetia, seventh grade: oboe
– Riley Banas, seventh grade: oboe
– Logan Woltman, seventh grade: tuba
– Noah Bihari, seventh grade: clarinet
